The first major exhibition in Moscow of works by Ilya Kabakov opens today at the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts. It marks a long-awaited homecoming for Russia’s leading postwar artist, who emigrated in 1987.
The show’s second segment opens tomorrow at the Garage Center for Contemporary Culture, located in a former 1920s bus garage, and headed by Dasha Zhukova. On Sept. 17, the final segment opens at Winzavod contemporary art center, a private entity owned by transport magnate Roman Trotsenko. (BLOOMBERG)
